Last Saturday turned out to be the perfect day for
Pets on the Promenade in Bluffton, South Carolina because it was a bit overcast and thus not too hot to have the cats and dogs outside.
This annual event aims at promoting adoption of homeless pets and it worked: 8 dogs went home with their new family!!

Many local animal shelters and rescue groups were present, along with main sponsor Hilton Head Monthly and pet-friendly vendors to help raise funds for the Hilton Head Humane Association and Palmetto Animal League.

Pino Gelato set up its portable shop on the promenade to offer gelato and sorbetto for donations . It turns out not only humans but also dogs love a cold treat!

Add some live music by the Beagles, covering songs from the Beatles, a silent auction full of great items and gift certificates, "Titan's Tale" book signing by local author Julie Chalpan and that's all you need for an afternoon of fun and relaxing time!
Already looking forward to next year's Pets on The Promenade... woof!
